Qualifications

Mohican Apartments is an affordable housing community designed for seniors age 62+ and individuals with disabilities. We participate in both Project-Based Section 8 and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs.

To qualify, applicants must meet a few key requirements:

  • Age/Eligibility: At least one household member must be 62 or older, or qualify as disabled
  • Income Limits: Applicants must meet income limits based on the number of people in the household
  • Program Eligibility: Applicants must meet all federal and state program requirements
  • Background Screening: Standard screening policies apply (i.e. rental history, credit checks, and other qualifications)
If you qualify, your rent is typically based on approximately 30% of your gross household income.
